Francesco Manara is First violin at the Scala in Milan. In the same orchestra the cellist Massimo Polidori is Prima parte. Together with the pianist Claudio Voghera they have formed the award-winning Trio Johannes since 1993. From time to time the three like to give hospitality to two other long-time friends: Simonide Braconi (Prima viola, always at La Scala) and double bass player Paolo Borsarelli. For the first time in Vicenza in this enlarged version, the Johannes Trio proposes three absolute masterpieces by Schubert and Brahms.
