Ferzan Ozpetek returns to the theater with a new stage adaptation of one of his cinematic successes.
Pietro has a big dream, to become an actor. Hoping to meet the opportunity of his life, the young man moved to Rome and began working in a bakery. After spending a short time in his cousin Maria's house, the boy rents an apartment by himself and soon realizes that he has gone to live in a haunted house.
