Philippe Lafeuille is not just any artist. Where many would see nothing more than a pile of uninteresting rubbish, he sees beauty with untapped potential, just waiting to be revealed. Hence her predilection for the heroine of Charles Perrault's fairy tale, the little scullery maid turned princess who goes to the ball in a pumpkin transformed into a carriage.
But what does the Cinderella story have in common with empty plastic bottles?
The response of the choreographers' fairy godmother sounds like an evi/danse: metamorphosis, of course. For over an hour, to the accompaniment of the score of Prokofiev's ballet of the same name, six polymorphic dancers offer their plasticity - literally, in every sense and in many forms - to our amazed eyes, while they are transported into a colorful vortex of surreal transformations.
