INCONTRO CON LA DANZA
Prima dello spettacolo, alle ore 20.00, nella Sala del Ridotto, condotto da Lara Crippa, critico di danza per il blog Parole di Danza.
Thursday 21 November, 20:45 | Sala Maggiore |
Frida Kahlo, the famous painter of the 20th century has Hungarian roots on paternal side but people mainly know her for her Mexican origin. She is a cultural symbol having a major influence on people who are connected and attracted to her in many different ways. Her life was full of challenges and tragedies therefore has a lot to teach about love, power and faith in life.
Building on the rich expressiveness of music and dance, the performance uses strong images to recall an atmosphere of the exotic South America, the magical realism, passionate affairs, an impressive culture and some decisive moments of Frida’s life. The show does not tell her life story but presents an independent dance piece inspired by her artistic works, about a colorful and lively world which is completely different from any other. Dance is complemented by spectacular scenes interspersed with circus elements that unfold the cavalcade, the life-affirming vibes as a characteristic of Mexican culture.
