Hofesh Shechter’s new evening work for Shechter II, IN THE BRAIN, is an invitation to let go of the movement, to surrender to the music and be carried away by the rhythm. A journey into the depths of the cave, into the depths of consciousness, to a place beyond narratives, into a dreamlike, clubby, timeless state where movement takes over and euphoria unfolds.
Developed from CAVE, originally produced by the Martha Graham Company and Studio Simkin, IN THE BRAIN celebrates the spark, connection and unity found in dancing together.
Brought to life by the fierce and unstoppable energy of Shechter II, it is a space of liberation where stories dissolve, identity fades and only rhythm reigns supreme.
