Recently celebrated eighty years and still in great shape, Maria João Pires – one of the last Ladies of the Piano – returns to Vicenza after many years with her piano playing that fascinates the public for the beauty of her sound and her engaging enthusiasm. And to think that some time ago she had announced her retirement. Then, fortunately, she changed her mind.
