From the famous story by William Rose and inspired by Mackendrick's film of the same name, Mario Scaletta based the theatrical adaptation of Mrs Homicide. It is a comedy full of humor and entertaining intrigue, ambiguous situations and hilarious misunderstandings, set in 1950s London, which is the backdrop to the unlikely meeting between Louise Wilberforce, a lively and absent-minded landlady, the mysterious Professor Marcus, an alleged musician, in reality the ringleader of a dangerous group of criminals that Louise Wilberforce will end up unmasking.
