Grisù, a young fire-breathing dragon, lives with his father Fumè in a cave under the volcano right near the town where Stella, his best human friend, lives. She also lives with her father David, the local fire chief. Grisù and Stella have a secret dream: she wants to become a journalist and he wants to become a firefighter, which is quite difficult for a fire-breathing dragon. However, something, or rather someone, decides to put a spoke in their wheels. A shady figure appears first in Grisù's nightmares and then in the flesh right there, in the streets of the town. Malasorte is his name and he feeds on the fears of human beings. The fear of being alone for Malasorte is a slice of violet cake, the fear of not succeeding is a nice blue roast chicken, the fear of losing the people we love is a fruit salad of all colours.
Grisù and Stella, like all children of that age, have many fears: they will have to learn to understand and face them, because as David says "a hero is not someone who has no fear, but someone who manages to overcome it!".
Bad luck, not managing to get her way through the nightmares in which she immerses the boys, appears in person, clumsily trying to disguise herself: first as a street vendor of strange gadgets that stun those who use them, then as a forest ghost. The team of our heroes manages to stand up to Malasorte, chasing her away with great flames of Grisù. However, her final plan, which involves the kidnapping of David and Fumè, will put our young protagonists to the test.
Courage, adventure calls them!
Grisù thus represents the strength of those who do not give up in the face of difficulties and want to change, give a positive change to life, helping others and stopping spreading destructive fire! It is not easy for Grisù to carry on her dream, because emotions often take over, causing her flames to escape from her mouth, causing unexpected events. But she doesn't lose hope and above all she doesn't stop dreaming, forcefully stating: "A firefighter never gives up!"
