Lorenteggio. One of the most run-down public housing areas in Milan will be renovated and the residents temporarily moved elsewhere.
Despite the positive outlook, older tenants resist; among them, Adriana, a comically grumpy old Milanese woman. In her dilapidated apartment the woman faces the challenge by recalling her own history and that of a Milan that no longer exists. Today revolves around her: immigration, illegal construction, houses falling apart and nuisances at the door. Laughter and melancholy for a show that sees, in the role of Adriana, a Milanese actress of the stature of Ivana Monti, here directed by Giampiero Rappa.
