Totemica is born from the choreographic investigation of the sacred and the natural, a sort of ancestral spirituality, interpreted as a starting point or return from human chimeras. A condition of being from which one cannot really separate oneself, which contains primitive impulses and sophisticated thoughts: a place of origin and return of questions that cannot be answered.

Manfredi Perego trained at the contemporary dance school Compagnia Era Acquario, and later received a scholarship at the Biennale Danza directed by Carolyn Carlson, in the meantime he graduated in Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. After his experience as a dancer both in Italy and abroad, in 2014 he founded MP.ideograms, with which he won the Equilibrio Prize with the solo Grafiche del silenzio. Among Manfredi Perego's most recent works are Primitiva and Anemoi. Over the years he has participated in Equilibrio Festival, Venice Biennale, Vetrina della Giovane danza d'autore in Ravenna. Since 2015 he has been an artist supported by TIR Danza. He won the GD’A Giovane Danza D’Autore Award of Emilia Romagna in 2017. He was an associated choreographer for Scenario Pubblico, creating for CZD2. He is a guest teacher/choreographer at the Balletto Teatro di Torino and some important Italian groups.
