Tania Giannouli Trio
The trio of the Greek pianist Tania Giannouli offers a musical blend in which the boundaries between East and West, classical and contemporary, world and jazz blur until they merge. And already the instrumentation (with the trumpet by Andreas Polyzogopoulos and the oud by Kyriakos Tapakis) is a strong indication of this ability to bring together distant musical traditions and universes. Among his projects not documented on disc, the trio with the singer Maria Pia De Vito and the percussionist Michele Rabbia stands out.

Anne Paceo “Shamanes”
For his most recent album, S.H.A.M.A.N.E.S. (2022), Anne Paceo was inspired by shamanic musical and vocal practices. With a geographically broad gaze (from the exorcisms of Bali, to the voodoo ceremonies of Haiti, the Siberian divinatory songs, the candombe rituals), the French drummer does not try to reproduce her sources but rather to use them as inspiration for a music without borders.
