Originally from California, Mark Lettieri moved to Fort Worth (Texas), where he completed his studies and started his musical career. Since 2008 he has been part of Snarky Puppy, a collaboration that takes up a lot of his time given the intense activity of the band, with its average of 175 concerts a year. Lettieri still manages to find space for numerous other collaborations, starting with Erykah Badu.
When not on tour, Lettieri puts his fine technique and extreme stylistic versatility to good use as a studio musician. In this capacity he is heard in recordings by 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and countless other artists of the most varied musical genres.
In this frenetic activity the guitarist has also found time to propose himself as a leader: he has recorded six albums that thanks to the social media rumble surrounding the Snarky Puppy galaxy have garnered a lot of attention in the indie guitar community. The most recent of these, Deep: The Baritone Sessions, vol. 2, fresh off the press, features a hefty blend of funk and rock.
