In a world where desires and aspirations are catalogued and satisfied by infallible and omnipresent algorithms, Records explores the tension between human limitations and the aspiration for infinity. Reflecting on the concept of records — maximum performance ever achieved and act of archiving and testimony of existence — this performance exaggerates the social dynamics of perfectionism to highlight the deeply human desires for success, glory and permanence.

Vittorio Pagani (Tradate, 2000) is a performer and choreographer originally from Milan. In 2018, he joined the Ballet Junior de Genève, where he danced works by some of the most influential international choreographers (Marcos Morau, Jan Martens, Olivier Dubois, Hofesh Shechter...). In 2021, he created the duet Around 5:65, selected for the prestigious RIDCC 2022 platform. In 2023, he obtained a Master's degree in Expanded Dance Practice from The Place London – University of the Arts London (UAL). At The Place, he created A Solo in the Spotlights, selected for Resolution 2023, Vetrina della Giovane Danza d'Autore 2023 and Aerowaves 2024. The work has been presented at numerous festivals in Italy and Europe. In her creations, Pagani explores themes such as performativity and subversion, developing a multimedia choreographic practice in which different levels of performative experience coexist and interact, establishing an embodied and reflective dialogue with the present and contemporary cultural contexts.
