Inspired by contemporary Neapolitan culture, Neapolis Mantra is a multidisciplinary work combining dance, music and words, created by Italian-African director and choreographer Mvula Sungani. It features prima ballerina Emanuela Bianchini with her powerful physical dance and the powerful black voice of Enzo Gragnaniello. The creation, inspired by the album of the same name that the Neapolitan singer-songwriter recorded in 1998 with the unforgettable Mia Martini, is a journey through stories of women, mothers and daughters, beloved, sought-after, lost and desired companions. Physical dance, a technique devised by Mvula Sungani and Emanuela Bianchini that has received prestigious awards in the world of dance, alternates evocative choreography with more ethnic moments and spiritual inspiration. The music for the show is performed live by Enzo Gragnaniello and his band in an acoustic version.

Mvula Sungani Physical Dance is an Italian contemporary dance company founded and directed by choreographer and director Mvula Sungani. His research revolves around an intense and highly theatrical physical language, in which the body becomes a total expressive instrument, capable of conveying emotions, conflicts and profound visions. The company's creations intertwine dance and dramaturgy, giving rise to performances of great visual and narrative impact, often inspired by universal and archetypal themes. Through energetic and communicative choreography, Mvula Sungani Physical Dance has established itself as one of the most recognisable companies on the Italian contemporary scene, with a constant focus on direct dialogue with the audience.
